Does your business or farm comply with the statutory regulations on engineering plant and equipment?

MWMG has secured funding under the Glasu Axis 4 Rural Development Programme (RDP) to trial a series of events utilising video conferencing.

This has enables this workshop to take place simultaneously in Brecon & Newtown.

Do you own and operate statutory engineering plant & equipment? Then this workshop is for you.

Managing the risk associated with using such plant can be onerous, especially if there is limited in-house expertise of this area.

Statutory plant requires a periodical, independent, third party inspection service, and a sound understanding of the specific requirements of the regulations such as:-

LOLER (lifting equipment),

PSSR2000 (pressure systems),

COSHH (the control of harmful airborne contaminants)

PUWER (Part IV) - power presses.

The inspection requirements of the legislation are specific to these categories of plant and are to be undertaken over and above the manufacturers recommended maintenance duties associated with the equipment.

An awareness seminar will be delivered by Clarence Rasquinha, who will introduce the background to the regulations, how the inspection supplier service is generally procured, the importance of managing your appointed inspection supplier to ensure you operate your statutory plant with compliance certification and how and why the Health & Safety

Executive might express an interest in your legal obligations.

Clarence Rasquinha has worked in the Engineering Inspection business for over two decades in both operational and commercial roles. He has had responsibility for a variety of manufacturing sector engineering inspection accounts for a leading UK insurance company and today he helps businesses manage their risk in this specialised sector.
