Williken of the Weald and Lady Georgina Lady Georgina was a graceful lady who liked to help other - she would never give up. When there was a problem she would love to solve it. She also loved to solve an argument or heal people when someone was sick. There was a man called Williken of the Weald. He loved to save ladies and poor people from danger. Girls thought he was handsome. Lady Georgina was riding on her beautiful black horse when a man came along and said, “Help, my mother is sick! She needs someone to help her. I’ve got no experience to help her but maybe you people do?” “I will help, oh I will!” cried Lady Georgina. But was it a trick? She came in and the man called “mother come down” and as she was walking through the doorway, he grabbed her and locked her up in a dark, gloomy cage and said “If you want to come out, give me your jewels.” “But you said your mother was sick …but I want my jewels… I need my jewels…but here you go…now please let me out.” Lady Georgina gave him the jewels but he tricked the lady and said, “You’re not coming out.” Then he ran away with the jewels. She waved a huge flag saying Help! Then Williken of the Weald came to save the Lady Georgina. So he went up the spiral staircase – Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! The guard fought and he died and dropped the key. Williken of the Weald unlocked the cage and Lady Georgina went home. “What a horrible day!” said Lady Georgina. Then Williken of the Weald sent a sign saying “I saved a lady” and the thief got really angry and said “You have still not got the jewels! Ha! Ha! Ha! You will never get them back!” But is it true? Will Williken of the Weald ever get them back? By Jade
