UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN COLORADO VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Position Title: Assistant Professor of Special Education with an emphasis in Behavior Position Number: F99356 Job Summary/Basic Function: The School of Special Education at UNC is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor of Special Education with an emphasis in behavior (BCBA required). The School of Special Education offers undergraduate and graduate level courses that lead to special education state licensure. The candidate should be well grounded in the knowledge and pedagogy of special education principles and practices and applied behavior analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain scholarly activities, teach courses in the School of Special Education, and engage in school, college, university and national service. This is a contract renewable position. Minimum Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Special Education or a related field with an emphasis in Behavior (ABD considered). BCBA or BCBA-D status 2 years minimum experience in serving children with behavior challenges. Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of scholarly production/publications (published, in press, or submitted, and presentations) Demonstrated potential in grant writing and implementation. Experience teaching university students in online, hybrid, and/or face-to-face models. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues with broadly diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds in educational, research or other work activities Position Description The successful candidate will be expected to maintain scholarly activities, teach courses in Special Education and engage in school, college, university and national service.
