This unit standard is for people who are employed as milk
collection operators and who are required to carry out their
tasks as sole operators.
People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate
knowledge of: uses and properties of cleaning chemicals, and
handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, used to clean milk
tankers, in a dairy processing operation.

Material safety data sheets – information sheets on safe handling and storage of
hazardous substances.
Organisational requirements – instructions to staff on policies and procedures which
are documented in memo, electronic or manual format and are available in the
workplace. These requirements include but are not limited to – site specific
requirements, manufacturer’s specifications and legislative requirements.
