Range 1.4 The process of cleaning milk tankers is explained in terms of temperatures, detergents, concentration, placement of spray-balls and purpose of each stage of the cleaning-in-place process. 1.5 Methods for checking effectiveness of cleaning are explained in terms of frequency, timing, where and what to look for. methods include but are not limited to – visual inspections, swabbing. Range Outcome 2 Apply cleaning systems to cleaning milk tankers in a dairy processing operation. Evidence requirements 2.1 A clean-in-place (CIP) programme sequence is described in terms of organisational requirements. CIP programme sequence includes but is not limited to – prerinsing, cleaning, post-rinsing, sanitising. Range 2.2 A CIP system for cleaning milk tankers is implemented in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.3 The cleaning system is monitored to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of milk tankers in accordance with organisational requirements. 2.4 Any areas of non-compliance are identified and rectified or reported in accordance with organisational requirements.
