Department of Optics, College of Physics, Warsaw University, Warsaw, Poland.
B.SC. in physics, 1969.
Department of physics, University of Baghdad, Baghdad, Iraq.
Experience:
Adjunct Ass. Professor, Department of Physics, Aug 1996 to present.
University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN. Courses taught: Physics P221L,
P222L, P229L, P131L, P132L.

Researcher tech. Department of Electrical Engineering, Nov 1996- Mar1999
University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN.
Worked on IC fabrication, all required steps needed to fabricate 5-um CD CMOS
gate Array circuits, wafer cleaning, oxide growth, diffusion, lithography, BHF
etching, plasma etching, metal deposition, electrical testing, and optical
characterization.
Substitute Teacher Jan, 1995 to Jul, 1995.
South Bend Community School Corp., South Bend, IN.
Optics lab. Instructor, Department of physics 1993 to 1994
Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden.
Optics laboratory project involved Handling Fiber, Numerical Aperture, Fiber
Attenuation,
Single-mode Fibers, Coupling Fibers to Semiconductor Sources, Connectors and
Splices,
Components for Fiber Communication, Fiber Optic Communication Links, Multimode Intensity Sensors.
Scientific researcher 1992 to 1993.
CAMEDI Company, Stockholm, Sweden.
Created the optical design for an optical instrument used for measurements by
research and health laboratories. The sample cell used in spectrophotometry,
within the optical instrument was also a new development; along with a new
method of calculating the radiation band of the light (created via MATLAB).
The ultraviolet (UV) microscope was modified by using a high pressure mercury
lamp instead of the traditional short wave laser in order to measure the
fluorescence in the capillary sample cell, which was helpful for detecting and
measuring very low liquid concentrations (especially useful for medical
purposes).
Optics laboratory Instructor 1991 to 1992.
Uppsala University, Institute of Physics, Uppsala, Sweden
Taught optics course-laboratory (course covered dispersion, diffraction and
interference, polarization, Michelson interferometer, geometrical optics).
Researcher 1986 to 1989.
Institute of Physics, Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland
Researched Integrated and Fiber Optics, Electro-optical light control in lithium
niobate for planar and stripe waveguides; measurement of thin film parameters
with a prism coupler.
Researcher 1982 to 1985.
Dept. of Optics, College of Physics, Warsaw University, Warsaw, Poland.
Investigated Optoacoustic Spectroscopy and Optoacoustic Signal Detection in
CS2 Vapour.
Physics Teacher 1969 to 1981.
Different High Schools- Algeria, Iraq, Kuwait.
Taught Physics and Mathematics for Classes from (7 - 12).
