Portuguese Water Dogs
Agreement for Sale
This agreement entered into this ___ day of _______by and between SELLER, Lorna Coloccia of
7 Horseback Lane, Palmyra, VA 22963 (434)760-4793 and NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE
hereafter referred to as BUYER.
WITNESSTH:
WHEREAS, the Seller had for sale a Portuguese Water Dog and, ______________________
WHEREAS, the Buyer is interested in purchasing a quality Portuguese Water Male as a family
companion.
WHEREAS, the dog with proper care, nutrition and environment in due time should be of
acceptable temperament and structure to embody the basic standard of the breed:
NOW, therefore in consideration of the premised and mutual covenants contained herein, the
parties hereto agree as follows:
1. The Seller hereby sells, transfers and conveys to the Buyer ownership of a Portuguese
Water Dog Cold Harbor”s _________________, whelped on ___________, out of Ch
______________ (DAM) AKC ___________ and Ch__________________ (SIRE)

2. The Buyer hereby agrees to pay the Seller the sum of ______________ (American)
dollars ($______________), with a non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 with the balance
due prior to the delivery of the pup.
3. The Seller represents and warrants the following:
a. To the best of the Seller’s knowledge, the pup described herein is free of internal
parasites, wormed as indicated on health record
b. The dog herein has been vaccinated as per the health record
c. The dog herein shall have a full health guarantee of 9ninety-six (96) hours,
during which time the Buyer must have the pup examined by a Veterinarian of
the Buyer’s choice, at the Buyer’s expense. Pursuant to this exam, should health
status be deemed unacceptable, the puppy shall be returned for a full refund.
This dog is a purebred PORTUGUESE WATER DOG and will be registered
with the American Kennel Club (AKC). The Breeders of Record shall be Lorna
Coloccia of 7 Horseback Lane, Palmyra Virginia 22963, 434-589-1877.
HEALTH:
This puppy has undergone health checks and evaluations by a certified Veterinarian/Breeders.
The purchaser can return the puppy within 72 hours of the delivery for full refund for any health
reason noted by a Licensed Veterinarian. The breeder will except the puppy back without
condition and pay for shipment or arrange transportation.
The purchaser must send all copies of health certifications MRS. COLOCCIA for reporting to the
HEALTH REGISTRY. The PWDCA HEALTH REGISTRY is key in improving the health of
the Portuguese Water Dog. Any/all health/temperament/behavior issues must be brought to the
immediate attention of Mrs. Coloccia.
The puppy must attend a puppy socialization class and basic obedience class before 8 months of
age.
IMMUNIZATION SCHEDULE:
Puppy Immunizations are scheduled for 7 weeks, 10 weeks and 13 weeks. The puppies will most
likely have the 1st 2 immunization shots and will need the third - A complete shot record will be
provided for each puppy.
The final immunization VAC/4 shot is due _______________. Rabies vaccination should follow

Titers ONLY INSTEAD OF ANNUAL IMMUNIZATIONS (all immunization history is
provides in a health record).
Rabies Vaccination is preferred at 6 mos but breeder understands owner my need to comply with
local law and protocol. Heartworm medicine at 3 months of age (proper dose for weight and
increase as the weight goes up)
PWD should never have VACCINES for lymes disease since this is proven to be ineffective.
Purchaser must provide Mrs. Coloccia with the name of the VET serving this animal and provide
him/her with a copy of this contract. The purchaser will instruct the VET to provide any/all
information to Mrs. Coloccia regarding this dog for her entire life. Mrs. Coloccia will provide
your VET with PWD information that will assist in managing the health of your dog
Should the DOG EVER become lost, Mrs. Coloccia must be notified IMMEDIATELY.
RESALE: The puppy cannot be sold to anyone. The puppy cannot be housed with anyone other
than the purchasers. If the puppy is found to be in the possession of anyone other than the
purchasers - the BREEDER may reclaim the puppy and remove the puppy from the 3rd party
without legal recourse. All legal fees are the responsibility of the purchaser should repossession
be challenged in a court of law.
REPOSESSION: If the puppy is inadequately maintained for its health (SHOTS, FOOD,
TRAINING, HOUSING, GROOMING, EXERCISE, ENVIRONMENT) or is allowed to run at
large or is ever is found in a public shelter - the dog with its registration papers is subject to
repossession by the breeder with no refund of monies to the purchaser.
COST: The cost of this puppy is $________ (Deposit of 1000.00) Full refund can be obtained
within 72 hours of delivery for health conditions noted by a licensed Vet. The breeder will refund
$350.00 at any time for the return of the dog. PLEASE NOTE: The purchaser can only dispose
of this dog by returning it to the BREEDERS.
