MARY ZIMBA
Mary Zimba is one of the two founder members of Kidz Kameraz. She is 12 years doing grade seven at Jack CECUP School. Her hobbies are reading, writing speaking
English, listening to radio and watching television as well as traveling.
She has been trained in using the “Spider web” tool. This is a tool children use to assess their group. She has also been a very active Child Rights Club Treasurer for the past three years.
She is also the co-founder member of Safe World Kidz Club a school club that focuses on environment.
She is one of the first students who were in the Majorettes (Country Girls). The other club that Mary has been active is Jack CECUP Children’s Choir.
She has been active in contributing to ending corporal punishment survey and some of her views have been recorded in the book “Ending corporal punishment in
Zambia.”
Mary Zimba has taken interviews with BBC World and has been active in writing
Child Rights Club Newsletters.
Mary Zimba has been invited to attend the International Children’s Conference on
Environment in Norway.
PRAISE MUYABA
She is twelve years old and began school at Jack CECUP School and has never been to any government or private vschool before. She is the current Child Rights Club
Secretary. Praise has served for three years on this position to date. She is a cofounder for Kidz Kameraz together with Mary Zimba.
Like Mary, she is one of the first members of the (Majorettes) Country Girls. She has also been active in Jack CECUP Children’s Choir.
She has also been trained in “Spider web” tool. She has been active in ending corporal punishment campaigns, and a co-founder for Kidz Kameraz.
She has also cofounder the Safe World Kids Club together with Praise Muyaba.
She has taken interviews with BBC World Radio with Kennedy Goma.
She is the main character in the movie “Bwalya my daughter” a movie written and directed by Wiseman Banda. Praise did a five days training in the use of “Spider web tool” an assessment tool for the club or organization under Zambia Civic
Education Association.
Besides she had taken various leadership trainings with the club. Praise has given various speeches at school during important functions such as British councils connecting classrooms.
She enjoys traveling, reading, making friends, listening to radio and watching television and singing.

OLIPA WALIKESA
Olipa Walikesa likes dancing, making friends, reading, modeling, cooking, traveling, watching television and listening to the radio.
She has been in the Child Rights Club for some time as good adviser to the leadership as far as planning is concerned.

MUSEKA PHIRI
Museka popularly known as the “MP” is the former Child Rights Club and served for two years before she went to secondary school in 2007.
Museka has also attended many leadership trainings and attended various workshops by Zambia Civic Education Association.
During her leadership, she introduced majorettes (country girls), compiled a CD entitled We Your Children. Museka has been in the club for four years before she went do her grade eight at Kamulanga Basic School.
Museka travelled to Dar es Salaam Tanzania as a delegate for Child Rights Club and
Jack CECUP Children’s Choir where she met forty five (45) boys and girls from three different schools for a week.
She has also been active in contributing to the Kids News Update a newsletter for
Child Rights Club.
Museka enjoys reading, listening Zambian music, modeling, dancing, traveling and writing.
Other activities Museka has been active include majorettes (country girls), ending corporal punishment campaign, Malaria Campaign, HIV/AIDS campaigns and Birth
Registration Campaigns.
She took part in the Music Crossroads - a musical festival held at Lusaka Play house.

GRACIOUS NAMANGA
She was a Child Rights Club Secretary for over two years under the leadership of
Museka Phiri popularly known as the “MP” before she went to secondary school. She handed over her position to Praise Muyaba during their farewell party.
Gracious enjoys reading, writing, traveling, making friends, listening to music, traveling watching television and cooking.
She is the first leader to lead the majorettes (Country Girls) and she is good in planning group activities.
She is also a child rights advocate. And she has represented her friends in different meetings.

RHODAH PHIRI
Rhodah has been very instrumental as a children corporal punishment. She was one of the girls that gave serious recommendations to the research team that came to our school on corporal punish. Due to her contributions Rhoda was selected at national level to deliver a speech on behalf of all Zambian children to the
Government of the Republic of Zambia through the Attorney General and the members Parliament at the conference held at Cresta Golf View Hotel. She was also part of the students who were invited during the launch of the report at arcades by Save Children Sweden.
Rhoda has also attended various leadership training during her two years. She is one of the leading voices (soprano) in the debut album (We your Children) a CD produced by Jack CECUP Children’s Choir. This CD features songs such as We your
Children, Freedom, for my sake, and Iseni Iseni.
Rhoda likes reading, writing, listening to radio, traveling, singing and cooking.
She is one of the pioneer members of majorettes (country girls) and very active in contributing to the Kids News Update a child Rights Club monthly newsletter which was launched in October 2003.
Rhoda is one of the characters of “Bwalya my daughter” a movie starring by Praise
Muyaba.
Rhoda compiled all the notes of this Road Map.

JOSEPH SICHILIMBA
Joseph joined the Child Rights Club in 2003 and has been active in various club activities such as contributing to the monthly club newsletter Kids News Update,
Jack CECUP Children’s Choir, various community campaigns for malaria and
HIV/AIDS.
Joseph was one of the first members who participated at the Music Crossroads at the Lusaka Play House.
He was a committee member in the Child Rights club for over two years before he went to secondary school in 2007.
Joseph likes traveling, reading short story, writing, making friends, listening to the radio, watching television and video.

ANUEL HAMOONGA
Anuel developed interest in Kidz Kameraz when he saw the draft Road Map when he was invited to attend one of the planning meetings.
He likes singing, reading magazines, watching television and videos, traveling and listening to the radio. He is doing grade twelve at Kamulanga High School the center of excellence.
PEGGY MUMBI
Peggy Mumbi is a newest member of the Kidz Kameraz and she enjoys reading,
Making friends, traveling and playing traditional games.
