A native of Maryland, Jean Hess currently resides in Tennessee. Her work is influenced by her studies in cultural anthropology [U. New Mexico, BA, MA] as well as in art [Maryland Institute College of Art, University of Maryland]. Hess' work is in several museum collections, numerous public venues, and has been featured in commercial galleries with work in many private collections.
