NATURE AND EXTENT OF ARCHITECTURAL COLLECTIONS IN IRELAND The Heritage Council Deadline Indicitive Budget 13-Jun-2005 @ 17:00 €30,000 The Heritage Council wishes to commission an audit of architectural collections in the Republic of Ireland. This audit will outline the nature and extent of such collections across the Republic of Ireland. OBJECTIVE The objective of the study is to establish the extent and location of collections of architectural material in Ireland, the organisations and individuals with responsibility for their care, and the extent and nature of cataloguing (and condition) of these collections. In this instance, and for the purposes of this Audit only architectural collections will be confined to a time frame from 1700 to 1980 approximately. Architectural collections will be defined as movable three-dimensional objects, typically fixtures and fittings (exterior and interior), architectural fragments etc. CONSULTANT SKILLS The project team should be headed by a lead consultant who will be clearly identified, and may include team members with expertise in and awareness of architecture and architectural history and any, or all, of the following fields. Compiling data Proven ability to deliver projects within budget and in time Clear reporting skills Relevant qualifications and experience Other disciplines as identified by the consultants Submissions must be sent to the Heritage Council, Rothe House, Kilkenny by Monday 13th June 2005 at 5.00 pm, clearly marked ARCHITECTURAL AUDIT.
