New! German Horse Center: Complete service for the purchasing of horses in Germany
German horses for sale, as well as travel planning services and worldwide
booking of trainers
Renowned German stud farms and sales stables unite for the first time under
www.germanhorsecenter.com to offer dressage and show jumping horses for sale. The full service
concept of the center addresses prospective international purchasers, and covers everything from
arranging travel plans for a ‘Horse Tour’ and providing accompanying personal guides in Germany to
the provision of impartial purchasing advice and handling of the actual purchase and subsequent
transport.
In addition, the German Horse Center organizes global procurement services which enable top
German riders and trainers to be booked for the training of horses and riders. The entire portfolio of
services is based on a concept of equine wellbeing as well as the principles of transparency and high
quality service provision.
Quality Sporting Horses
The German Horse Center, at www.germanhorsecenter.com, provides a common Internet
platform for the sale of horses from 11 renowned German stud farms and sales stables.
Partners include the well-known organizations Birkhof Stud, Jens Meyer Stud Farm,
Böckmann Training and Jumping Stables, Klatte Sports Horse Breeding Farm, Charlottenhof
Stud and the Balkenhol and Langehanenberg Training Stables.
German dressage and show jumping horses trained by professionals and suitable for top
amateur sport are available for sale.
Full Service
Domestic and international purchasers receive full service in every phase of the purchasing
process: the German Horse Center takes care of booking appointments with vendors and the
- 2 planning of a ‘Horse Tour’ through Germany. It is also possible to book personal guides for
the trip – the guides act as interpreters and drivers (rental car included) and take care of all
the necessary local arrangements.
Independent advisors can also provide unbiased support when deciding on which horse to
purchase, and the German Horse Center provides assistance with organizing pre-purchase
inspections. Legal advice with regard to the purchase contract is provided by the law firm
Klimke & Colleagues, while the team from Peden Bloodstock can take care of all the
arrangements related to transporting the horse back to its new home stable overseas.
Trainer Booking
The full service portfolio is rounded off by the first trainer database to contain top German
riders and trainers from across the whole country, which provides you with the option of
booking trainers in order to obtain further training for horse and rider. Worldwide booking of
training sessions, at the customer’s premises overseas or at the trainers’ facilities in
Germany, can thus be made through the German Horse Center. The trainers available in the
database include Helen Langehanenberg, the 2008 Olympics reserve, Lars Meyer zu Bexten
from the national training team for German show jumping riders and Andreas Ostholt, the
2008 Eventing World Cup finalist as well as many other well qualified dressage, show
jumping and eventing trainers.
Transparency & Quality
The top priority of the German Horse Center and its partners is the wellbeing of the horses
and the quality of the services provided: particular emphasis is placed on a healthy early life
and gentle training of the horses in accordance with the traditional principles of riding culture.
The German Horse Center has developed a concept based on these values and this is also
adhered to by its partners.
Horses Currently Available
Starting in March, the German Horse Center will be offering a portfolio of over 40 sporting
horses from 11 partner stables. The horses range from talented young horses to successful
championship horses. There are also 15 top German trainers that can be booked for training
of horses and riders. The German Horse Center is planning to increase its portfolio to include
- 3 20-25 partner stables, a maximum of 150 horses and approximately 50 top trainers, thereby
making it the leading online portal for international purchasers of top amateur sporting
horses.
