Mayr-Melnhof Packaging is Europe’s leading folding carton specialist, headquartered
in Austria.
A total of approximately 650,000 tons of cartonboard, recycled and virgin fibre based,
are annually converted into folding cartons at 32 locations in Austria, Germany,
France, UK, Spain, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Tunisia, Turkey, Jordan, Iran,
Chile, Malaysia and Colombia.
MMP has 8882 employees.1
In 2012 Mayr-Melnhof Packaging achieved sales in the amount of EUR 1,120.7
million.

MMP produces almost everything that can be folded and shaped of carton board,
fluted materials, and board-based composites.
I.
Solid Board
Being Europe´s leading folding carton specialist, Mayr-Melnhof Packaging offers
innovative packaging solutions, whole production lines, highly efficient supply chain
management systems, in short: Everything that will make carton packaging cartons
more efficient in production and more successful in markets.
II.
Multipack
A wide range of blanks made of various recycled fiber- and virgin fiber-based
cartonboard grades on state-of-the-art packaging machines. MMP offers a broad
package of innovative and cost effective multipack solutions for markets like:
- beer
- carbonated soft drinks
- dairy

Microflute
For top quality products with special demands on high load bearing and extensive
handling, MMP offers microflute packaging solutions that combine impressive
printing and finishing quality with an inherent stamina that satisfies all technical
requirements
regarding
construction
and
compression
strength.
Offset-printed B-, E-, F- and G-flute as well as E/B-, F/B-, F/E-, F/F-double flute is a
MM Packaging core competence. The performance spectrum ranges from standard
boxes to eye-catching designs and from point-of-sale displays to shelf-ready solutions.
Always, high quality offset-print meets the high stability and enhanced strength of
corrugated board packaging.

Flexible Packaging
Flexible packaging products perfectly complement MMP’s extensive range of carton
solutions. MMP produces reels and pre-fabricated bags made of a wide variety of
materials and material combinations according to customers’ quality and barrier
property requirements.
MMP offers reel-to-reel flexo printing and both reel-to-reel and reel-to-sheet gravure
printing solutions. The product range covers paper, carton board, and a selection of
foil-laminate packaging products. MMP meets a wide range of specifications,
including heat-seal, peel-ability, reverse-side surlyncoating, first-rate light-protection,
reverse-side cold seal, top quality metallic printing, excellent barrier properties, and
re-sealability.
V.
Instruction leaflet & Paper products
At our production site Schausberger we are producing instructions leaflets dedicated
for the pharmaceutical industry. In general those are between 45 gsm and 100gsm and
are flat,pre-folded or folded produced. The majority of these instruction leaflets is
printed 1-colour. Basically up to 6 colours are possible.
Additionally we offer booklets for the pharmaceutical industry which are either
stapeled or pur binded. Of course, a much wider range of paper products can be
produced with Schausberger. This varies from die-cutted brochures, annual reports to
promotion products like the pocketguide or the exhibition guide.
VI.
Blister cards
At our production site Schausberger we are specialised on blister card production.
This special application allows the sealing with plastic blister cover (e.g. PET).
Due to the extremely - technically and logistically - complex requirements for this
appilcation a specialisation is a vital precondition.
