If DCO successfully disables support for the Security feature set (DCO Word 7, bit 3 cleared to zero), the IDENTIFY DEVICE or IDENTIFY PACKET DEVICE command shall respond as follows: clear word 82 bit 1 to zero, clear word 85 bit 1 to zero, clear words 89, 90, 92 and 128 to zero. If DCO successfully enables support for the Security feature set (DCO Word 7, bit 3 set to one), the IDENTIFY DEVICE or IDENTIFY PACKET DEVICE command shall respond as follows: set word 82 bit 1 to one; clear word 85 bit 1 to zero; set word 128 bit 0 to one; set word 128 bit 5 to one if enhanced security erase is supported and set words 89, 90 and 92 to valid values.
