Group of 77 and China - Perez-Guerrero Trust Fund Projects The Group of 77 (G-77) was established on 15 June 1964 by seventy-seven developing countries signatories of the “Joint Declaration of the Seventy-Seven Countries” issued at the end of the first session of the UNCTAD in Geneva. The members of the G-77 have increased to 131 countries. The Perez-Guerrero Trust Fund for South-South Cooperation (PGTF) was established by The United Nations General Assembly resolution 38/201 of 20 December 1983 to support critical economic and technical cooperation activities among developing countries (ECDC/TCDC) in order to achieve national or collective self-reliance. The objective of the PGTF is to provide seed money for: financing pre-investment/feasibility studies/reports prepared by professional consultancy organizations in developing countries members of the Group of 77; and facilitating the implementation of projects within the framework of the Caracas Programme of Action on ECDC.
