CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION CLASSES
Paoli Hospital offers a full range of Childbirth Education classes from
Birth and Beyond.
CLASSES:
1. Prepared Childbirth Series – 3 weeks, for couples having their first
baby
2. One Day Prepared Childbirth- 1 day accelerated class held on
weekends for couples having their first baby
3. Refresher for Prepared Childbirth- for couples who have taken
classes in a prior pregnancy; sibling adjustment will also be
discussed
4. Getting Ready for Baby: A Special Delivery – one session class
conducted by one of our staff pediatricians
5. Sibling Preparation Class - one session class for children from
three to seven years to prepare for role as big brother or sister
6. Prenatal Breast-Feeding Class- learn breastfeeding techniques to
get a good start: fathers encouraged to attend
7. Tour of Maternity Unit – For those who have had a baby at another
hospital
8. The Happiest Baby – class developed to help strengthen the bond
between parents and their baby
9. Prenatal Physical Health and Exercise – 2 hour class conducted by
a physical therapist
