The meeting was called to order by Jenny Weber.

BIO 112
Principles of Biology Application
New course funded by a five-year grant from National Science Foundation.
Igor Szczyrba/Rick Adams moved to approve the course proposal. Committee
recommended approval by consensus.
BIO 211
Cell Biology Applications
New course funded by a five-year grant from National Science Foundation.
Igor Szczyrba/Rick Adams moved to approve the course proposal. Committee
recommended approval by consensus.
BIO 221
Genetics Application
New course funded by a five-year grant from National Science Foundation.

BIO 572
Species and Speciation
New course to enhance the course offerings for graduate level training.
Carol Roehrs/Richard Schwenz moved to table the course proposal. Changes in
objectives, the grading rubric needs to add up to the 200, need to add week 16 to
tentative schedule on the syllabus, and clarification of this course being an additional
elective course or replacement of another course. Once those clarifications are made
Sue will send the proposal out to the committee to be voted on electronically.

Addition of six new elective courses to the BS in Biological Sciences.

BIO 576, Pharmacology, which was approved at the November 8th meeting has added ASLS 573 as an
alternative pre-requisite to accommodate the ASLS doctoral students.
