Popov B. S. Jun 2010 Dalian University of Technology, China Major in Chemical Engineering and Intensive English RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Synthesis of Pt catalyst deposited on activated graphitic carbon (Pt/AGC) 2013 University of South Carolina, Columbia Synthesis of AGC using various activation and stabilization procedure including high temperature pyrolysis Modified polyol method to obtain highly stable catalyst for PEMFC applications Development of Highly Active Pt2Ni/CCC Alloy Catalyst for PEMFC 2012 to 2013 Center for Electrochemical Engineering, Columbia Carbon based composite catalyst (CCC) with active catalytic sites for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is used as a catalyst support. Hybrid cathode catalyst (HCC) combines the contributions of active sites from the CCC support and Pt-alloy catalyst. Effect of platinum loading on catalyst performance in PEMFC 2011 to 2012 University of South Carolina, Columbia Utilization of the Pt surface area depends on the cathode Pt loading. The mass activity increases when the loading decreases due to increase of catalyst utilization. PUBLICATIONS 1. Tianyuan Xie, Taekeun Kim, Won Suk Jung, Kriston Akos Prabhu Ganesan and Branko N.
