Growing Places Briefing - 1 August 2012 The Government have delegated Coast to Capital £23m of Growing Places Funding. This will be used as catalytic funding to bring forward infrastructure and other projects which are well developed, conceptually, but which are blocked from getting started. The Coast to Capital Growing Places funds will be used to unlock these projects and the corresponding investment from other partners. The first projects to be awarded funding from the Growing Places Fund (GPF) were selected following an extensive evaluation process by the Coast to Capital Board, which allocated over £14 million towards them: Airfield Park, Bognor Regis i360, Brighton Caterham Fast Fibre Hubs Malling Brooks, Lewes Ruskin Square, Croydon Coast to Capital is seeking projects that have been stalled, due to the lack of investment, to come forward. The Board is calling both public and private sectors to take this opportunity to consider the schemes they may have on their books.
