Bottle Character Book Reports To create the bottle person, you will need a 2-liter plastic soda bottle (without the cap), sand, dirt, or pebbles, a Styrofoam ball (found in a craft store), and other art supplies supplied by your parents or me. Place a little sand, dirt, or pebbles in the bottle to weigh it down slightly. Decorate the Styrofoam ball to be the person’s head, cut a hole in the bottom of the ball and place on the top of the 2-liter bottle. Use doll clothes or art supplies to dress the bottle to be the person’s body. Cardboard can be used for arms or can be used at the bottom for feet or shoes but this is not necessary. This project, like others before it, is intended to be fun and allow you to develop your creativity. As seen from the picture shown in class of other projects done by students before you, some students chose to make modifications, such as using panty hose for the head. I am open to you modifying this as you see fit. Feel free to get help from parents, grandparents, uncles/aunts, siblings, or even your dog! Please turn in your project and summary together on or before ________________________. These projects, along with the summary, will be displayed during Open House so that everyone will be able to enjoy each other’s wonderful work on this project. Please feel free to contact me if there are any questions. Sincerely, Paul Saaty
