Children are sure to have sweet summer as they experience the wonder and science of ice cream as never before! The Ice
Cream Lab’s Creative Kids camps are designed with the perfect blend of captivating experiments and activities for children who love to learn and explore.
Each engaging session is full of hands-on, up-to-the-elbows fun and includes a themed story, craft project, game, activity and experiment-related snack.
Day 1: Taste Test Detectives –
Become a detective to investigate how senses of smell and taste are related and follow clues to identify mystery ice cream flavors.
Day 2: Color Collision – Explore the wonder and science of combining the colors of the rainbow. Older children will experiment with the interactions of liquids and colors using a super secret formula.
Day 3: Food, Fun and Fitness – Get ready, get set, go – for a full morning of great food choices and fun fitness activities to make your body strong and your brain sharp.
Day 4: Sweet Science in Action –
Discover what puts all those bubbles in soda and experience a “fruity eruption” of the Fizz Fountain.
Day 5: Shape Your World –
Experience the fun of mixing up delicious waffles and shaping them into creative cones and bowls full of frozen sweetness.

Adults are required to accompany preschool children.
Preschoolers will use their super sleuth skills to look for fingerprints and clues as they try to solve
The Great Flavor Thief Mystery.
Each detective will use their keen senses of smell and taste to identify unknown ingredients and determine the flavors of various ice creams. (It’s a
tough job, but somebody’s has to do it!)
After customizing their official laboratory aprons, these savvy investigators will help solve the mystery by luring the thief with a flavorful, fruity yogurt snack!

Kids will compete in a Food Pyramid
Relay as they search the lab for nutritious food items to place on their racing lunch trays. They’ll practice their weaving skills to create a fun dinnertime placemat for home, and examine healthy food choices when eating out. The real challenge begins as they try to build a nutritious Ice Cream World split using ingredients from at least 3 of the pyramid food groups.

In this session, lab assistants use their creativity to combine a rainbow of colors while designing their own kaleidoscopes.
They’ll also watch a colorful reaction when they add a secret ingredient to a simple bowl of milk. This session ends on a sweet note as kids get to experiment with colors by mixing up fun frostings to decorate their own cupcakes – sprinkles included!

Our oldest scientists will experiment with various shapes and forms of matter while creating their own version of Slippery Slime – is it a solid or is it a liquid? They’ll also have bucket loads of fun using Model Magic in a hilarious game of Shape Charades. Of course, there’s no better way to end the week than by making and shaping delicious waffle cones and bowls and filling them with Ice Cream World sweetness!
