Many types of drugs can be given to help or prevent nausea and vomiting. These types of drugs can cause the side effects listed below. Common: You may feel weak, drowsy, restless, dizzy, have poor balance or a hard time using your hands or feet and judgment. You should not drink alcohol, use machines, or drive for at least 24 hours after taking this type of drug. Uncommon: You may have feelings that are not normal for you, dry mouth, feel depressed, or be confused. Rare: You may have an allergic reaction to the drugs you get or you may have muscle movements you can’t control.
