Trees to be retained will not be used as an anchor for winching purposes. 3.8 Excavators for grubbing out roots will not work too close to retained trees to avoid damage to root systems. 3.9 All wounds and cuts will be shaped to prevent the formation of moisture holding pockets. All final cuts will be made just outside the branch collar to make possible exclusion by the growth of callous tissue. 19/10/2001 Ash tree care ltd TREE WORKS METHOD STATEMENT 3.10 Any heavy branches will be removed in section and undercut to avoid tearing the bark and lowered by slings etc to avoid damage to the tree and surrounding buildings in the vicinity of the works. 3.11 A line of communication will be set up between the climber and ground staff in respect of any trees that have to be climbed to be felled or worked on. 3.12 Stump grinding works on site will only be undertaken by staff with NPTC training. 3.13 Cambium savers will be used when work is carried out on trees to be retained.at all times 3.14 19/10/2001 Ash tree care ltd TREE WORKS METHOD STATEMENT 4.0 Phasing of the Works 4.1 The start date will be ? and work will be completed within approximately 2 DAYS. 4.2 The work will be undertaken in the following order: tree felling , STUMP GRINDING 4.3 On completion of HELENA PROPERTY CARE will be notified.
