JULY
1. REGIONAL DIRECTOR: Pray for Rev David Ra who will be in Indonesia
and Thailand, July 17-22. Pray for safe travels and fruitful ministries in these
countries.
2. CAMBODIA: Praise the Lord for the completion of the vision center. Pray
earnestly for Grace and Joy Lee’s health, and that of the staff. Pray for the
5-Day Club® and Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) which starts tomorrow to
end on the 7th.
3. NEW ZEALAND: Remember in prayer, Mrs Pam Brooking as she celebrates
her birthday, today.
4. MALAYSIA: Pray for a Super Seminar Basic that Siew Ean is conducting
today. Pray for God’s blessings on those attending, and for Siew Ean’s health.
5. REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION: Praise the Lord that Miss Jan
Johnson’s MRI/MRA showed no abnormality in the brain and no aneurysm. Pray
as she plans to be back in the region this month.
6. NEW ZEALAND: Pray for 3-Day and 5-Day Clubs being held in Northland,
Auckland (Korean and English speaking) and Levin between July 6 and 17. Pray
that many children will attend and be touched by God.
7. Praise God for the effectiveness of the camping ministry in NZ. Pray for camps
in Southland (July 6-9) and Canterbury (July 12-17). Pray that God will protect
everyone at the camps and that He will do a mighty, lasting work in the lives of the
leaders and children.
8. AUSTRALIA: Pray for US summer missionaries, Emily (19), Marley (19) and
Katie (18) doing Scripture classes and a 5-Day Club in Toongabbie (July 13-17),
Vacation Bible Club at Miranda in the morning and a 5-Day Club at Jannali in the
afternoon.
9. PRAYER & PROMOTION: Pray as Joy Sidro is involved in teaching a
Teaching Children Effectively™ (TCE™) 2 course and one week Super Seminar
training this July.
10. TAIWAN: Pray for the LTI which started July 6 to run through September 26.
Pray for both Instructors and students.
11. Pray for the on-going CYIA which ends on July 18. Pray at least 35
students will commit to volunteer with CEF.
12. TONGA: Praise God for Tina Latu who started a GNC after attending TCE
1. Pray as she faithfully teaches children in her neighborhood.
13. Praises for two new GNCs; and for 12 Sunday School teachers who
attended the Sunday School Teachers Seminar Workshop last May, now desiring
for more training. Pray for a TCE 1 that is on-going.
14. MR VB MATTHEW: Pray for wisdom, grace and strength to assist in the
educational program of the region; the proposed CMI training phase 3 in PNG
this July; and other forthcoming trainings.
15. CEFRO (CH): Praise and pray for Miss Deborah Lee, (CEF Korea
Missionary) who has been appointed CEFRO (CH) coordinator as of July 1.
Pray for her leadership and ministry to the lost boys and girls in the country.
16. FIJI: Praise God that the final building permit has been received! Pray God
will provide the $330,000 needed to build the new national office.
17. JAPAN: Pray for CEF to be used for the salvation, growth and church
attendance of Japan’s 17,250,000 kids. Pray for additional God-chosen board
members to be raised up.
18. Pray for Fred and Jane Tanaka as they attend to their respective
responsibilities, especially for Fred’s healing from thighbone, knees, eyes and
prostate gland problems.
19. Pray for Yutaka and Kayoko Yasuda’s (Yamaguchi Branch) physical and
spiritual health; preparations for a TCE 2 in Hokkaido in August; and wisdom
in proof-reading the Wonder Devotional Books 4-6.
20. KOREA: Praises for God’s blessings upon the Leadership Seminar last
April 22-24; for 86,133 children reached through GNCs and 10,027 children
reached through the flower rallies.
21. Pray that the VBS Teacher Trainings will equip 20,000 people; and the 3Day Clubs which started in late June to reach 10,000 boys and girls nationwide.
22. MYANMAR: Pray for the salvation of 23 million children in Myanmar;
recruitment of local area workers; and opening of CEF in 14 states.
23. Pray for the Instructors and students of an IOT 2 course in October and
November.
24. NEW CALEDONIA: Pray for Pascal Bailly and Mary Chanel who will
attend the CMI course, July 25 to August 21 in France. Pray also for Mary as
she attends the TCE 2 course by end of August.
25. PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Praise for a successful outreach program in May
-- 320 children were reached and now enrolled in the CEF Mail Box Club in
New Zealand. Praise, too, for two new female staff, Jessie and Kala.
26. PHILIPPINES: Pray for Miss Mila Jucutan (officer-in-charge) as she
attends to the many concerns of the ministry and coordinates preparations for
the 2010 National Conference.
27. SINGAPORE: Pray for Lorita Lim to have wisdom and insight to lead the
ministry. Pray for her spiritual and physical wellness, protection and need for
co-workers.
28. SOLOMON ISLANDS: Praise for three Super Seminars (part one) completed;
and for blessings received by Jonathan Kwaimasi from the Leaders’ Seminar of
CEF Korea.
29. Pray for funding for three provincial trainings: Marau (July), Taro (August) and
Temotu (September).
30. VANUATU: Praises for church promotions conducted in Efate island; for two
GNCs started; and a one year residence permit granted to Ezra and Mi-sook. Pray
for their language study (Bislama and English); and a closer walk with the Lord.
31. Pray for more GNCs to be opened that more children will hear the Gospel;
supply of needed materials for the ministry; and plan to recruit Ni-Vanuatu
workers to be deployed in each province.
August
1. REGIONAL DIRECTOR: Pray for Rev Ra as he shares God’s Word to
CYIA participants in Ulsan, Korea from August 14-19.
2. REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION: Continue to pray for Miss Jan’s
health and safekeeping, she is back to resume her schedules in the region.
3. AUSTRALIA: Pray for Patrick Keuning and his family as they look for a
housing with the big likelihood of moving out early in 2010.
4. CAMBODIA: Pray for God’s blessings on a Camp that will be held in the new
CEF building on August 18-21.
5. NEW CALEDONIA: Pray for God’s care on the GNC children as clubs had
been on stand by, July and August.
6. FIJI: Pray that God would heal the hearts of the staff: Tomasi, Shoma, Moreen
and the Bryant family after that sad experience of having to terminate Siki Matea
as CEF Fiji staff member.
7. PRAYER & PROMOTION: Pray as Joy is teaching in a ten-day Short Term
Institute for Trainors (STIFT) and Super Seminar this month.
8. PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Pray for the plan to hold CMI Phase 3, probably on
September or October.
9. Pray for a Preschool and TCE Level 1 courses for November or December with
Miss Jan, Lord willing.
10. Today, Mr VB MATTHEW is celebrating his birthday. Pray for renewed
strength, protection and provisions for his travels to different countries.
11. CEFRO (IC): Pray for the Lord’s grace upon His workers among the children
in this part of the region.
12. JAPAN: Pray the Lord will raise up His choice National Director. Pray for
guidance and wisdom upon Executive Committee Members: Fred Tanaka, Yutaka
Yasuda, Masaki Konno serving in the interim in lieu of a national director.
13. Praise that the Wonder Devotional Books are selling. Pray for more sales and
for these books to be used mightily in children’s devotions, their salvation and
spiritual growth.
14. Pray for Megumi Ryu for wisdom and guidance in her responsibilities of
translating, proofreading, etc; Su Rim Ko’s (missionary) needs to be met,
creativity to share the Gospel with kids, improve further on her Japanese, and
opportunities to minister in teacher training.
15. NEW ZEALAND: New worker, Naomi completed her six months
internship last July and returned to Canterbury. Pray God will guide her future
involvement with CEF after she is married in October.
16. Continue to pray that God will raise up more committed and enthusiastic
national board members. Pray also that God will call new part time and fulltime
workers for all areas in NZ.
17. FIJI: Pray for Kent Bryant, he is celebrating his birthday today.
18. PHILIPPINES: Pray for protection of workers in M dominated areas; and
the spiritual growth of M children who have professed faith in Jesus as Savior.
19. Pray for the team conducting evangelistic campaign in public elementary
schools around the country. Pray for a bountiful harvest and protection. Pray as
well for the Elementary School Values Education Classes (ESVEC), a
discipleship program for school children.
20. TAIWAN: Pray for the children who were reached in 5-Days Clubs
between July 20 and August 8 to grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus
and to be channeled to the churches.
21. SOLOMON ISLANDS: Pray for the teachers’ fellowship which was
recently started to encourage and build up GNC and Sunday school teachers.
22. Continue to pray for the physical and spiritual health of all staff members.
23. TONGA: Pray for the Sunday School Teacher's Seminar Workshop on
September 12 to be well attended.
24. VANUATU: Pray for some fixing to be done around Ezra and Mi-sook’s
house: refrigerator is not working well, a water pipe is leaking, and a 500
gallon rain water tank needs to be set up.
25. HONG KONG: Pray for the salvation of the children in Hong Kong.
26. INDONESIA: Pray for Rev Kang’s (Missionary Director of CEF Indonesia)
leadership responsibilities.
27. MACAU: Uphold Tang Chi Va in prayers as she oversees the work in
Macau.
28. MICRONESIA: Pray the Lord will call His children to rise up to the
challenge for workers among the children.
29. MONGOLIA: Pray CEF Mongolia will be instrumental in the salvation of
the children in the country.
30. THAILAND: Pray for Rev Praimwadee Chowwannapong as she provides
leadership for CEF Thailand.
31. Pray for open doors to reach out to all the children in the AP region.
