Recently relocated to the Capital Region, Key has 40 years of experience in fire protection and mechanical engineering, possessing extensive expertise in building code writing, fire protection and mechanical system design, and occupancy studies. He previously worked as a fire protection engineer for both the Mesa Fire Department and Grainger Consulting, in Mesa, AZ. Key is currently a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, International Code Council, National Fire Protection Association, International Fire Marshals Association, International Fire Chiefs Association, and Arizona Fire Marshals Association.
