WHAT ARE LESIONS?
A lesion is a pathological change in a bodily organ or tissue
Primary Lesions
Are an initial alternation in the skin
Secondary Lesions Are due to the primary lesion becoming worse in some way
Tertiary Lesions
Only occur with serious diseases, after primary and secondary
Acute Disease
Symptoms have a more violent nature and are short of duration
Chronic Disease
Of long duration, usually mild and recurring
Infections
Pathogenic germs taken into the body due to contact with contaminated
people or objects
Contagious
Disease communicable by contact
