The present work was planned to correlate significance of Interface dermatitis with their clinic-pathological aspects. Methodology: One hundred & twenty clinically suspected cases of interface dermatitis were included in this study. Four mm punch biopsy was performed along with other necessary investigations. Biopsy specimens were processed. Hematoxylin and eosin stained sections were studied. Results : On the basis of clinical and histo-pathological findings the diagnosis of the 120 skin biopsies of interface dermatitis was as : Lichen planus , Erythema multiforme , Lupus erythmatosus , Lichenoid drug eruptions , Pityriasis lichenoid chronica, Lichen sclerosis et atrophicus were common. Rest of many others were rare and formed less than 5%. Conclusion: Interface dermatitis includes etiologically several diverse conditions with histopathologically a common denominator of Interface Dermatitis. It is important to diagnose clinic-pathologically all these lesions as the prognosis & treatment varies. Keywords: Interface dermatitis, histopathology, Haematoxylin and eosin
