Contacting by Andy is still going on, in spite of A T & T Confusion. 7.0 Committee Reports 7.1 By-Laws – TBD No Report 7.2 Publicity (includes Banner) – Andy Anderson No Report 7.3 Outreach Education, Projects – Dr. Jim Johnson No Report 7.4 Membership – Jill Stirling 7.4.1 New CCTS Society Submittals None Pending 7.5 Long Range Planning and Goals - ALL No Report 7.6 Other Conference and Seminars - ALL 7.6.1 Engineers Week 2013 - ALL CCTS has established the venue for the Engineers Week Banquet to be at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Viera, Wickham Road and I-95, on Thursday, February 21, 2013 and the date has been reserved with them. SME is exploring being a co-host, with CCTS and AIAA for this Event. Ken Brace, of SME, who was on this current teleconference call had the line drop out on him and he could no longer be reached at this time, so no input was received as to whether SME plans to co- host on this Event. 7.7 Awards – Bill Macdonald No Report 7.8 Management and Budget – Dr. Jim Johnson No Report 7.9 New Projects None 8.0 Special Committee Reports 8.1 42nd Space Congress -- Fred Martin Bob Shaw has handled the Facilities and the Lunch at the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) and that is settled, the Speakers Banquet is settled, and the audio/visual requirements are settled. Nicolas Pelaez, graduate student at UCF, who is the Presentations Chairman of the 42nd Space Congress, has done a fine job of getting a program together for the Event. At this time, only have nineteen have Registered. Some publicity has gone out and it is on the CCTS Web Site. The sign-up is being done by Eventright in which when you pay at Registering, Eventright will e-mail you a ticket for you to print out also if you want to come to the Speakers Banquet, that is another ticket. It was recommended that the Registration deadline be extended from November 20th to November 27th. Then possibly after that, add a late fee of $5 to the Registration amount. The Speakers have been sent publicity, so that they can give the information out to their companies to encourage attendance. At the present time, we have four Exhibitors that plan to display plus one from Merritt Island High School desiring a table and while there is no charge for Exhibits, it was noted that those who staff the displays will pay the price 3 592nd CCTS Board Meeting, November 14, 2012 of Registration ($50). It was Moved by Andy Anderson that CCTS would accept a $500 overall loss on the 42nd Space congress. The Motion was Seconded by Joe Brown and the Motion Passed. It appears that if forty-three attended the Event, it would be about a break-even point in cost. MSRPI, who have volunteered to put on the Afternoon Break, have looked at the location at FSEC and confirmed that Wine and Beer along with soft drinks will be permitted at the thirty minute Afternoon Break. Announcing the Break will be done in the Auditorium, where the Speakers are Presenting or other rooms where the Attendees are located. After analysis, it appears that December of 2013 might be the best time to hold the 43rd Space Congress; however, if it would be held in November, it would work right in with the MSRPI Fall Dinner and they would put on their dinner right in the middle of the Space Congress©, which might be a good draw for both MSRPI and Space Congress©. 8.2 Computer/Web Site - Dr. Al Koller Al Koller has been adding Society updates quickly when presented by Dave Fleming. Laura Seward has advertised us on LinkedIn. 8.3 Orientation – TBD No report. 8.4 Historian – Bill Macdonald No report 8.5 Hospitality – TBD No report. 8.6 Investments – Dick Russell No Report 8.7 Condominium – Dick Russell No Report 8.8 Office – J.
