1. Warm-up (5-10 min)
Give students Halloween Intro worksheet. Have them fill-in the blanks
to complete 8 sentences about Halloween.

2. Halloween Murder Mystery Read and Run Activity (20 min)
Have your JTE add Japanese help to hints 1, 6, and 7.
Cut the hints in half,
then fold them in half and write (or attach) big numbers to each.
Put the 7 hints up around the room before class.
In lunch groups, assign each student a number 1-7 (some students may have
to double up).
Student #1 runs to Hint #1 and reads it. He can’t bring paper
or pen with him. He must memorize the sentence then return to his lunch
group to tell them the clue. Students may return to the clue to re-read it as
many times as they like. But the next student can’t go until all of the students
in the group first write the hint on their paper. THEN student #2 can run to
Hint #2 and repeat process.
Once all the clues are collected, students write the name of each monster next
to the thing s/he brought (at the top) and circle the murderer (at the bottom).
