NOTICE OF DEED OF DEDICATION, FOOTPATH 19 LITTLE BEALINGS
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 2000
Notice is hereby given that Suffolk County Council has dedicated with effect from the date of
this notice a new public footpath in the parish of Little Bealings, adding a link between the
recently diverted route of Footpath 14 and the existing Footpath 11 on the opposite side of
Hall Road.
The route of the new footpath is described in the Schedule below.
A copy of the deed of dedication and of the maps contained in it may be inspected free of
charge at the address below, 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 9.00 a.m. - 4.00
p.m. Friday; also at the offices of Suffolk Coastal District Council, Melton Hill, Woodbridge,
9.00 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Monday - Friday. A copy of this document may also be purchased at a
cost of £2.00 from the Head of Legal Services at the address below or obtained upon written
application at a cost of £2.50.

Footpath 19 Little Bealings
Commencing at the junction with Public Footpath Number 14 at OS grid reference TM
23144659 and proceeding in an east north-easterly direction along a natural surface track and
grassland for 38 metres to OS grid reference TM 23174662 then changing to a north northwesterly direction and continuing along grassland 7 metres clear and to the west of the
boundary fence and hedge for a distance of 62 metres to OS grid reference TM 23144668 then
proceeding in a north-easterly direction for a further 102 metres (to a point some 25 metres
from the north-eastern boundary fence to the site) to OS grid reference TM 23224674 then
changing to a north north-westerly direction for 52 metres to join the C333 (Hall Road) at OS
grid reference TM 23204678; being a total distance of 254 metres.

Recital
The Council is the owner in fee simple in possession free from encumbrances
of all that land known as Sinks Pit in the county of Sufolk as comprised
within title numbers SK 230911 and SK 18453 at HM Land Registry and for
the purposes of identification is shown edged red on Plan 1 and Plan 2
respectively ("the Land")

Interpretation
In this Deed:
2.1
"the Footpath" means the footpath that goes across the Land identified
as Public Footpath Number 19 Little Bealings and more particularly
described in the Schedule and as shown on the Map
2.2
"the Map" means the map annexed to this Deed
2.3
"Plan 1" and "Plan 2" mean the plans annexed to this Deed
2.4
Any reference to a clause or the Schedule is a reference to a clause in
or the Schedule to this Deed
2.5
A reference to a statute includes any statutory modification or reenactment of it and every statutory instrument direction or specification
made or issued under the statute or deriving validity from it
2.6
The clause headings in this Deed are included for convenience only
and shall not affect its interpretation

Enabling Provisions
This Deed is made pursuant to section 1 of the Localism Act
2011 and any other enabling power

Dedication
4.1
The Council hereby dedicates for use by the public subject to clause 5
a highway that is to be the Footpath
4.2
Pursuant to the Highways Act 1980 the Council is the highway
authority for the area in which the Footpath is situated and upon this
Deed coming into effect the Footpath shall be a highway maintainable
at the public expense

Commencement
5.1
The Council shall undertake any work that they consider necessary to
bring the Footpath into a fit condition for use by the public
5.2
Upon completion of any work required by clause 5.1 the Council shall
as soon as possible give notice in one local newspaper circulating in
the area in which the Footpath is situated that as at that date of
publication the Council has dedicated the Footpath for use by the public
