SIGMA THETA TAU, BETA ETA-at-LARGE CHAPTER APPLICATION FOR THE GRADUATE STUDENT 2015-2016 $1000 SCHOLARLY ACTIVITY AWARD (DNP Candidates) Instructions for Applicants From its inception, STTI has recognized the value of scholarship and excellence in nursing practice. In 1936, STTI became the first U.S. organization to fund nursing research. The goal of the Beta Eta-at-Large Chapter DNP or PhD Scholarship/Research Award is to support the research training and scholarship in nursing science of a member of Sigma Theta Tau who is currently enrolled in a Doctoral program at either Edgewood College or the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Two (2) awards will be given: one for a DNP student (quality / EBP project), and one for a PhD student (research). Only members of Sigma-Theta Tau will be eligible for this award. Each category (DNP and PhD) will be evaluated separately, as these works are distinctly different. The application will be reviewed independently by three Sigma Theta Tau Board members. A succinct and carefully written description of the proposed research will assist the reviewers in evaluating the purpose, method, and feasibility of the research plan. The winner of this award will be asked to present their proposed research at the Spring 2016 event on April 14th from 5-8PM at Edgewood College Washburn Heritage Room.
