275N of positive buoyancy thus exceeding your specification. It is provided in a wide size
range offering full freedom of movement to the customer.

Protection:
The crewsaver vest is equipped with NIJ IIIA Protection panels produced using HPPE
materials which are unaffected by moisture including salt water and are also buoyant in
nature, further enhancing the floatation capabilities of the product.
Protection coverage is to the front, back and side of the upper torso.
The NIJ IIIA panels are sonically sealed within a Waterproof and UN resistant Polyurethane
coated nylon for further protection through life.
Global Armour UK has recently tested its NIJ IIIA soft armour at the respected TNO
laboratory in Netherlands to assess its performance when conditioned at temperature range
of -35C and +65C. Some armours will lose performance when subjected to prolonged
exposure to heat so this is an important test in the climate of Trinidad and Tobago.
These tests were proved to be successful and TNO test report is provided for your
evaluation.
Adjustment and Closure:
Velcro shoulder and side adjustment is part of the crewsaver design allowing it to be
adapted for comfort and fit. In addition there is a forward facing buckle strap for closure.
There is an additional lower body nylon strap system to secure the vest when in water and
this ensures that the vest does not ‘ride up’ when in water.
Floatation System:
The Floatation Collar is a removable feature of the vest and is attached to the vest using zip
attachment points and is a 275N single chamber buoyancy system offering complete
assurance to Operatives working close to or in a marine environment.
The collar is produced in the same fabric colour as the base vest and internally it consists of:



275N high visibility bladder complete with reflective tape
Oral inflation tube
Choice of manual or automatic inflation with a 60g CO2 cylinder.
Upgrade Pockets:
The crewsaver vest has front and back plate pockets for insertion of Level III or IV Hard
Armour Plates.
MOLLE:
Molle webbing loops can be added to vest front, back and sides for attachment of pockets
and other equipment. We use the highest quality webbing on our vests and use high
strength threads for long term performance.
Laundering:
The outer cover of the crewsaver vest can be machine washed and panels can be wiped
clean with a damp cloth.
Badges and Reflective Tape
EN471 reflective tape and badges can be supplied for the vest and be removable or
permanent in nature depending on the customer preference.
