Following the guidelines of Lighting the Way, the new governance model being phased in by the Archdiocese
of Newark, we did not have elections to the School Advisory Board. Our current School Advisory Board was invited
to submit their resumes to the Archdiocese and be officially appointed by the pastor and Archdiocese. Additionally,
membership is encourage to participate on the three committees: Building and Grounds Committee, Development
Committee and Marketing Committee. Your input is most welcome. If interested in serving on these committees please
contact Tara Harris School Advisory Board President. At the end of this year, Ms. Mary Lee Gallagher will be
stepping down from the board. Ms. Gallagher has served several years, as President and Vice-President. We applaud
her leadership and thank her for service! To date we have not heard from the Archdiocese concerning my replacement.
The entire Lighting the Way document and information are under the “Parents” tab on the website for your
information and updated as needed. To avoid misinformation, please review these articles, ask myself or board
members any questions. Our supportive pastors, Msgr. Rozniak and Fr. Tom Wisniewski, embrace the mission of our
school and Catholic education. Please acknowledge them and realize how blessed we are. With the wonderful Oral
Report given by the recent Middle States Visiting Team affirming the goals the faculty set for the next seven years,
Academy of Our Lady will continue to be a beacon of Catholic education.
