Our Lady & St Bede Catholic Academy and the Directors of Carmel Education Trust wish to
appoint an excellent Religious Education teacher to join Our Lady & St Bede Catholic Academy.
The role may appeal to candidates seeking their first teaching post or, equally, to recently
qualified or more experienced teachers, looking to develop in a school which is totally committed
to Religious Education. Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy became part of the Carmel
Education Trust in February 2015.
Over the last year significant improvements have been made in all areas of the school, building
on existing strengths and working alongside the Carmel Education Trust.
Our 2015 academic achievement is in line with Ofsted rated ‘outstanding’ schools and places our
results amongst the highest performing schools in the region with 72% of all students achieving
5A*-C with English and Maths.
