-1- CURRENT AGRICULTURAL PESTICIDE MINOR USE PERMITS FOR BROAD ACRE CROPS – All Crops Update June 2010 Background: The Grains Research and Development Corporation’s (GRDC’s) “Pesticides for Minor Uses in Grain” project identifies pesticides considered by industry to be essential for continued sustainable production of minor grain crops and then seeks to have them registered or permitted for use. The research team collaborates with State departments of agriculture, independent advisers and the chemical industry to obtain the information necessary for registration or use permits for nominated chemicals in co-operation with Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA). The program aims to consider pesticide (herbicides, fungicides and insecticides) use in minor crops or minor uses in major crops. People and organisations interested in assistance or with needs for minor use permits can contact ACA via the GRDC website – The site had a simple form to nominate needs for uses in minor crops. http://www.grdc.com.au/uploads/documents/Grains%20Minor%20Use%20Proj ect%20Request%20Form.pdf. Crops can be accessed from the contents table, permits can be accessed by control/clicking the URL address of the permit description of interest and choosing to open the hyperlink. The following tables have direct links to the APVMA approved permit web site and will display permits as PDF files (which can be printed). 106733549 -2- Current Minor Use Permits - Table of Contents – (to access crop type, hold mouse over crop of interest, hold down control key and right click).
