3rd Annual Scholarship Fundraiser

Dear Business/Community Member/ Friend:
I am a member of North County Women in Networking (NCWIN*), a dynamic group of local professional
women dedicated to education. Each year, NCWIN holds its annual silent auction as our fundraiser for the
NCWIN Scholarship Program. The scholarships are awarded to financially deserving women attending
California State University San Marcos.
In January, thanks to our generous donors, we awarded $6800 to 4 deserving women, and we anticipate
awarding a greater amount for 2014. (GOAL $12,000) Last year the number of applicants for our
scholarship funds increased dramatically. Our goal is to double our scholarship funds for 2014 as more
students struggle to afford the high cost of college tuition, books and other living expenses.
We would love to invite you to participate, by a donation and of course attending, in our upcoming “Race
to the GOLD” silent auction.

Your ticket includes a 3 course served dinner, silent auction bidding on wonderful offerings, lots of fun
opportunity drawings (so everyone has a chance to win), entertainment, messages from our past recipients
and making important connections with local business owners, NCWIN members, and community
attendees. Beer and wine will be available for purchase with cash or debit card. Ticket price includes tax
and gratuity ~ now that is a real deal for a fun and beneficial evening.
We would greatly appreciate a donation from your business. Not only will your contribution help us reach
our fundraising goal of $12,000, it will help promote your business to everyone who attends our auction
event. Last year we had attendance of over 80 women and men from our local community. This year we
expect many more as the word is out about our worthy annual and really “Fun-raising” event.

*NCWIN is in the process of requesting official IRS designation as a non-profit entity, so although this would not qualify as a
charitable contribution until our designation request is complete, the donation may be considered a promotional/marketing business

All donations, large or small, are requested by Wednesday, April 16, 2014, but sooner will be
appreciated to help NCWIN build a successful event.
