MESSAGE NOTES CHRISTMAS GONE NUTS (Part 1) Missing Peace DECEMBER 6, 2015 When you sow the wind, you will reap the whirlwind. Hosea 8: 7 (NIV) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts … Colossians 3: 15 (NIV) Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91: 1 (NLT) Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.” Psalm 91: 1-2 (GW) God will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armor. Psalm 91: 4 (GW) Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Psalm 91: 5-7 (NLT) Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life … keep your eyes focused on what is right … Proverbs 4: 23; 25 (NCV) I will not put anything wicked in front of my eyes. Psalm 101: 3 (GW) Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3: 2 (NIV) And now one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent … Philippians 4: 8 (NLT) The woman (Eve) saw that the tree had fruit that was good to eat, nice to look at, and desirable for making someone wise. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Genesis 3: 6 (GW) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 6-7 (NLT) And now … one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me — everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4: 8-9 (NLT) If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you … Psalm 91: 9-10 (NLT) Jesus said, “I’m leaving you peace. I’m giving you my peace.” John 14: 27 (GW) Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Psalm 91: 1-4 (NLT) The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it. John 1: 5 (NCV)
