Purpose:

The purpose of this open house is to share information with the citizens of Roseville on risk exposure and vulnerability to probable impacts of natural hazards in Roseville. More importantly, the purpose of this session is to gather comments and suggestions from you on the accuracy of this information, and what we can do to be prepared.

How this Works:

Information on risk, vulnerability and mitigation alternatives has been developed on the following natural hazards for Roseville:

 Drought

 Earthquake

 Flood

 Severe Weather

 Wild Fire

As you enter the room, you will see that tables have been set up for each of these events with information that has been assembled to date. There are also representatives at informational tables from:

 FEMA

 California Office of Emergency Services

 Red Cross

 CERT

Please make an effort to visit each table. Staff will be present at each of these locations to discuss the information on hand. Please take the time to answer the following questions with regards to each hazard:

1) Does the data realistically reflect the risk to Roseville from each hazard?

2) Can the impact of this risk be reduced by pro-active mitigation?

3) What is your opinion of the mitigation alternatives listed for each hazard?

A comment sheet has been attached with these questions for your convenience.

Please leave your comments at the drop box before you leave.

The City of Roseville and the Hazard Mitigation Plan Steering Committee would like to thank you for taking the time to attend this valuable session.
