Employers, promoters, agents or producers must obtain agreement of the relevant New Zealand performers’ union or professional association, unless an applicant’s engagement in New Zealand; - is for 14 days or less; or - will be undertaken on an official co-production; or - is with a company that holds entertainment industry accreditation. CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS If you are coming to New Zealand for 24 months or longer you must provide police certificates as evidence of your good character. See how to obtain a Police Certificate for information on what to do. If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of the questions in section D1 of the application form you may be required to provide a Police certificate from the relevant country. Providing these certificates with your application, where applicable, may reduce delays. MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS If you intend to be in New Zealand for more than six months but less than one year, you may be required to submit a chest x-ray certificate. See Health Requirements for details.
