It is especially performable for wireless security system. OUTPUT AND ENCLOSURE The detector shall provide the detection, signal processing, solid-state alarm switch, and operating power circuitry in the same enclosure; and shall provide a solid-state alarm switch actuation upon the detection of an intruder moving into or through its protection pattern. The housing cover and chassis shall be highly durable and heat resistant, and shall be capable of mounting to a Wall, Pole or Tower (with optional mounting bracket model MP-4) mounting either outdoor or indoor without modification. The enclosure shall be weatherproof construction rated to IP55 (International Protection Code 55). The total weight (both Transmitter and Receiver) shall be 56.5 oz. (1,600g), excluding accessories. The detector shall feature a single piece electronics logic board whose circuitry is specifically designed for this detector alone, and which has sustained a substantial “Burn-in” test for several days. The case shall include a spacious Back Box that shall be able to install batteries (not included) and (a) wireless transmitter(s) (not included). The Back Box shall allow to do easy replacement the batteries without opening the front cover, nor any optical re-alignment. The detector shall contain Triple Tamper Function that shall create trouble condition when either Front Cover, Back Box or Chassis is removed. The detector shall include 2 pieces of Pole -mounting Bracket. LED OPERATION The detector shall incorporate dual Red LEDs to indicate the operating conditions on each 1 Transmitter and Receiver. On the Transmitter, one Red LED illuminated shall indicate a transmitting condition, and the same LED not illuminated shall indicate a non-transmitting condition. Another Red LED on the Transmitter flickered shall indicate a low battery condition, and the same LED not illuminated shall indicate a healthy battery condition. On the Receiver, one Red LED illuminated shall indicate an alarm condition, and the same Red LED not illuminated shall indicate a non-alarm condition. The same Red LED flickered on the receiver shall indicate that it receives IR beams but not enough by environmental cause or bad alignment. Another Red LED on the Receiver flickered shall indicate a low battery condition, and the same LED not illuminated shall indicate a healthy battery condition. Each LED shall illuminate or flicker only when a cover is removed to save battery life. POWER REQUIREMENT The detector shall be capable of operating from a DC power source rated within the range of 3.6 Volts DC, recommended LSH20 lithium batteries manufactured by SAFT (13.0 Amps hour)(Ah). The current draw (Transmitter + Receiver) shall be a maximum of 620 micro-Amps (uA) for model AX-100TFR and a maximum of 810 micro-Amps (uA) for model AX-200TFR. The detector shall require less current draw than ordinary photo-beam detectors to achieve long battery life. The Transmitter of AX-100TRF and the Receivers of AX-100TRF / AX-200TFR shall have approximately 5 years battery life when they use with LSH20, 3.6 Volts 13 Amps-hour (Ah) batteries. The Transmitter of AX-200TRF shall have approximately 3 years battery life when it use with LSH20, 3.6 Volts, 13 Amps-hour (Ah) batteries. ALARM OPERATION A condition of alarm shall occur when the alarm condition are met. The Beam Interruption Period shall be selectable from 50, 100, 250 or 500 milli-seconds (ms) to increase stability while maintaining reliability at every installation site. The alarm period shall be 2.0 +/- 1 seconds nominal. The alarm output shall be capable of handling 3.6 Volts DC, 0.01 Amps (A) maximum N.C. / N.O. selectable solid-state switch output. The detector shall signal the condition of Alarm using a Form C solid-state switch with terminal strip connections. The detector shall contain a Back Box tamper switch (selectable N.C. / N.O.) with a capable of handling 3.6 Volts DC, 0.01 Amps (A) maximum, that shall activate when either Back Box or 2 Chassis is removed from the installation. The Receiver shall also contain a Front Cover tamper switch (selectable N.C. / N.O.) with a capable of handling 3.6 Volts DC, 0.01 Amps (A) maximum, that shall activate when a Front Cover is removed. The detector shall contain D.Q. (Environmental Disqualification) output with a capable of handling 3.6 Volts DC, 0.01 Amps (A) maximum selectable N.C / N.O. solid-state switch, that shall send a trouble signal when the beam strength shall be below an acceptable level due to heavy fog, rain, snow or other changes in the installation site. The trouble signal output shall continue as long as the beam strength is below an acceptable level. The detector shall also contain a Low Battery output with a capable of handling 3.6 Volts DC, 0.01 Amps (A) maximum selectable N.C. / N.O. solid-state switch each the Transmitter and the Receiver. SENSOR STABILITY The detector shall remain stable even in high temperature conditions. The detector shall be rated to operate within a temperature range of –4 degree F to +140 degree F (–20 degree C to +60 degree C). The detector shall also tolerate a humidity rate of 95% maximum. No false alarm shall occur within these operating condition. The detector shall contain an A.G.C. (Automatic Gain Control) Circuit to continually monitor for gradual changes in the signal’s strength caused by changing weather conditions. It shall adjust the sensitivity accordingly to maintain the proper signal level for the current environmental conditions. The detector shall provide protection against rain, dust, and insects by means of a sealed enclosure housing. The OPTEX casing design shall also reduce condensation and water build-up. The detector shall feature frost and dew protection. An anti-frost and convex visor design shall be incorporated to protect the detector from the effect of frost or snow. This convex design shall allow beam passage even when the cover is completely frosted over. The ultra-high power Transmitter shall maintain stable operation with as much as 99% of the 3 beam’s energy blocked by extreme weather conditions such as snow, fog, heavy rain dust storms, or icy build-up. The detector shall utilize Twin Synchronized Pulsed Beams with size analysis technology to eliminate false alarms due to birds or flying objects. The “And Gate” dual beams shall be sharply defined and shall obtain their optimal signal strength easily. They shall require simultaneous interruption of both beams to trigger an activation ; no activation shall be generated when birds, insects, or falling leaves break just on beam. The detector shall contain 4 selectable beam frequencies (4 channels) to avoid unwanted crosstalk that can occur when using multiple photo-beams for long distance or beam stacking applications. The detector shall have a Battery saving timer option that shall limit an Alarm output to 2 minutes by a timer to prolong the battery life of a wireless transmitter. The detector shall have an Intermittent output function that shall send Alarm, Low Battery or D.Q. (Environmental Disqualification) output signals periodically to avoid missed alarm as long as the beam is broken. LENS AND DETECTION PATTERN The high-grade spherical lens shall create more sharply defined and precise infrared beams to ordinary Fresnel lenses. The precise area of the detection field shall be specific to each model. Model AX-100TFR shall feature a detection range of 100ft. (30 meters), with a Maximum Arrival Distance of 870ft. (265 meters). Model AX-200TFR shall feature a detection range of 200ft. (60 meters), with a Maximum Arrival Distance of 1,740ft. (530 meters). Easy optical beam alignment shall also be incorporated into the detector. The View finder and LED indicator shall provide rough alignment, while voltage meter jacks shall allow fine tuning. The alignment angle may be adjusted easily either horizontally (180 degrees = +/- 90 degrees) or vertically (10 degrees = +/- 5 degrees). MODEL The Intrusion Detector shall be model AX-100TFR or model AX-200TFR. (with optional Main 4 Unit Mounting Bracket Set for tower mounting MP-4) 5
