Course No: 2811 Manual Handling Instructional Techniques Duration: 3 days Overview: To meet the requirements of Health and Safety (HSW) legislation that personnel at risk from Manual handling Operations should receive training from properly qualified trainers, in order to reduce the risk of injury. This course is introduced to provide suitable training for Manual Handling trainers in order to comply with the law. Who Should Attend: All RAF Personnel and other services on a fill-up basis and MOD employed civilians required to instruct Manual Handling techniques and occupy an identified post, or have been nominated by the Station Health & Safety Advisor. Course Accreditation: The course is Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) accredited and delegates will receive the IOSH RAF Manual Handling Instructional Techniques certificate on passing the end of course examinations. Course Content: The course contains the following modules; Heath & Safety Legislation, Manual Handling Operations, Accident Prevention, Sites and Causes of Injury, Base Movement, Musculoskeletal System, Workstation Design, Mechanical Handling Equipment, Instructional Techniques, Assessment of Manual Handling Operations.
