Section and plate bending machines from Schwarze-Robitec
More bending flexibility through
additional axes
Schwarze-Robitec has developed a new section bending machine
series SB, which already has eleven axes in the standard version.
This means that it creates a greater bandwidth of bending contours.
The series features the currently strongest bending force available on
the market for this machine size. The extremely stable frame
construction is responsible for this. Thanks to the large bending
moment, the SB series also forms particularly difficult sections with
the greatest of ease.
Unlike market-standard systems, the SB series machines work with eleven,
instead of nine axes. With this facility, they create a greater bandwidth of
bending contours. Depending on the section size used and the material
rigidity, the number of axes can be adjusted to the respective bending
requirements. As the SB machines process both flat or angle irons as well
as T-, I-, C- and special sections in the most varied formats and
dimensions, the technology is used in the most diverse sectors of industry.
For example in the construction of bridge girders or roller coasters, in the
furniture industry and in the automotive industry. Thanks to the large
bending moment, the SB series also forms particularly difficult sections with
the greatest of ease.
Equipped for the most diverse bending tasks
Depending on industry requirements, the standard versions can be
expanded by additional equipment. Schwarze-Robitec optionally fits out the
models of the SB series with a unit for the three-dimensional forming or a
bending mandrel for small diameters. A measuring system, which monitors
the bending radius during the bending process, is also available. In future

this series will also be available in the machine version with four rollers.
The new PB series plate bending machines are also equipped with three,
or selectively four rollers. Depending on the desired design, they process
plates with a material thickness of only a few millimeters up to
1,000 millimeters. Thanks to the extremely stable frame construction of
high-strength steel, they are also perfectly equipped for the forming of
heavy plates. The machine control of the plate and section bending
machines offers the choice between manual or CNC. Despite the individual
outfit of each bending machine – one thing is common for all bending
machines of the SB and PB series: They are best equipped for efficient
manufacturing processes. High speeds and minimized throughput times are
achieved with the high drive torque and high speed. In addition, the
operator-friendly tool change takes care of short changeover times and
therefore economical production of medium and small-sized series.
