Role Description:
- works directly with Welcome Home Volunteer Coordinator: Sharon Skopnik
- receives offers of furniture from the community
- keeps record of inventory at the Apple Self Storage Unit on Marsland Dr in
Waterloo
- takes note of current needs and lets Welcome Home know what requests
need to be communicated to our community
- quality checks donations themselves OR asks about quality of donations and
arranges pick up or drop off of the items to Apple storage or directly to the
refugee's home
- may need to turn something down, graciously
- communicates with volunteer drivers and movers
- arranges moving crew to pick up/drop off furniture (locations: Apple storage unit,
Welcome Home, refugee’s new home) – give addresses to those involved
