BYC Membership Agreement As a member of BYC, each organisation is committed to helping BYC achieve its shared vision of a diverse, active and engaged membership. To enable this to happen, BYC and its member organisations both agree to work in partnership and collaborate to the benefit of existing and future members. BYC agrees to: Represent young people’s views from within your organisation to government and decision-makers Give members the opportunity to feed into BYC surveys and research Support members to shape BYC policies and campaigns and elect BYC Trustees at our Annual Council Meeting Provide members with advice on young people and governance and in person support for youth councils, in our role s the national youth council of the UK Promote members events and activities through BYC’s networks and offer members the loan of BYC display materials for your events Provide discounts on specially selected events and opportunities, including up to 50% discount on BYC training and consultancy Offer members the opportunity to meet with other members at BYC events and meetings. BYC members agree to: Promote BYC activities, events and opportunities to all young people in their organisation Create opportunities for joint working within BYC Inform BYC of opportunities where BYC can have a presence at their events Attend BYC activities, events and take part in surveys and consultations Supply BYC with the name of a lead representative for their membership Keep BYC informed of changes to relevant contact details and individuals Inform BYC in writing before the 1st February each year if they wish if it wishes to end membership for the following financial year Receive membership communications via email, the BYC website and mail Registered Charity No. 1123224.
