Following him were: freshman Yaphete Msgna, who competed in his first collegiate race and finished in 30:29; junior Phil Elbein, who finished in 30:35; junior Hugo Escobar, who finished in 30:51; freshman Rene Barboza, who also competed in his first collegiate race and finished in 32:07; and sophomore Adam Rains, who ran a season best 37:01. Senior Derek Bartlett did not finish the race after stepping in a hole after the second mile. The men will compete on October 6, 2007, at the McPherson Invitational at the McPherson Country Club.
