FCRF COTUTELLE SCHOLARSHIPS
FOR CANADIAN DOCTORAL STUDENTS REGISTERED IN THE FRANCE-CANADA COTUTELLE PROGRAM
(EXCLUDING QUEBEC)
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: FEBRUARY 1st, 2016
In order to provide support to the development of high-level scientific partnerships between France and Canada
and to encourage international mobility of young researchers, the France-Canada Research Fund (FCRF) is offering
a new funding opportunity: the FCRF scholarship for joint theses or cotutelles.
1- Eligibility:
The candidate must be a Canadian citizen (or permanent resident in Canada), registered in the COTUTELLE doctoral
program with a university that is a member of the FCRF consortium outside of Quebec (a parallel support program exists
for France-Quebec cotutelles) and with a French university.
The following is the exclusive list of Canadian member universities:

2- Research fields:
All research fields are eligible.
3- Duration of the scholarship:
12 months over a period of 3 years, with the possibility to split the scholarship to cover 2 academic stays (only one
airplane ticket will be covered).
4- Scholarship value:
Roughly 1060 Euros/month* and ONE round-trip airfare to France.
* The amount in Canadian dollars is subject to change depending on variations in the exchange rate.
5- The application must include the following:





This form, complete and signed by the thesis supervisors, laboratory directors and doctoral school directors and
then by the acting head of the institution
The signed cotutelle agreement (or letters of intent from each of the two thesis supervisors if the cotutelle
agreement has not been signed at the time of application)
A letter of recommendation from each thesis supervisor
Copies of university diplomas (baccalauréat/Bachelor’s, Master’s/maîtrise)
List of publications by the candidate (including co-publications)
