MS in Biotechnology Goal: To efficiently provide biotechnology graduates who are not only skillful laboratory workers but also can participate in project design and evaluation. Assessment Approach 1. Number of MS graduates who secure employment in the field 2. Evaluations from employers as to the preparation of MS graduates 3. percentage of students who graduate in a timely manner (2-2.5 years) from the program 4. Survey of alumni from the program Goal: To provide graduate students in biotechnology with experience in communicating an original scientific research project in biotechnology. Assessment Approach 1. Evaluate the quality of the Master’s Thesis and its defense both internally and externally. 2. Publications and presentations by current or former graduate students.
