SPIRITUAL LIFE Mission Statement: “Greenleaf Friends Academy prepares students spiritually, academically, socially and physically to be effective ambassadors for Christ.” Greenleaf Friends Academy is committed to the development of the spiritual life of its students. Their involvement in the following areas serves to build and strengthen spiritual values and enable the Academy to achieve its fundamental purpose. All courses are structured to integrate Biblical and spiritual concepts. Bible classes are taught at all grade levels at the Academy with an emphasis upon scripture memorization, a clear understanding of God’s Word, and a practical application of the Bible to daily life. Chapel services provide a variety of mediums through which the Gospel is presented and taught. This includes speakers, special music and films. Spiritual emphasis speakers during “First Week” for high school students and spring “Spiritual Emphasis Week” for all GFA students offer significant opportunities for students to have spiritual encounters with Christ and grow in their faith. Counseling from a Christian perspective provides essential guidance for Greenleaf Friends Academy students. This Christian perspective from a qualified, committed Christian school counselor, plus the care and support of faculty and staff, provide a quality guidance program with a positive spiritual focus.
