FISHERIES ACT 1982—SECTION 43
Declaration
TAKE notice that pursuant to section 43 of the Fisheries Act 1982
it is hereby declared that it is unlawful for a holder of a fishing
licence in the Northern Zone Rock Lobster Fishery during the
Northern Zone Rock Lobster fishing season or a holder of a
fishing licence in the Southern Zone Rock Lobster Fishery during
the Southern Zone Rock Lobster fishing season to engage in any
fishing activity whilst the rock lobster pot entitlement of the
licence is below 25 pots with respect to the Northern Zone Rock
Lobster Fishery or below 40 pots with respect to the Southern
Zone Rock Lobster Fishery, for the period specified in Schedule 1.
SCHEDULE 1
From the date of this notice to 30 June 2003 inclusive, unless
this notice is revoked or varied earlier.
In this notice Northern Zone Rock Lobster fishing season means
the period between 1200 hours on 1 November 2002 and 1800
hours on 31 May 2003, and Southern Zone Rock Lobster fishing
season means the period between 0600 hours on 1 October 2002
and 1800 hours on 30 April 2003.
