Employee Conflicts of Interest
No employee of Eastern Suffolk BOCES shall engage in or have a financial interest, directly or
indirectly, in any activity that conflicts or raises a reasonable question of conflict with his/her
duties and responsibilities to ESBOCES, nor shall any employee engage in any type of private
business during ESBOCES time or on ESBOCES property.
No employee shall disclose confidential information acquired by him/her in the scope of his/her
duties or use such information to further his/her interests.
ESBOCES possesses a proprietary interest in all “work products” initiated, developed and/or
completed by an ESBOCES employee within the course of his/her employment. All such work
products are to be derived to the benefit solely of ESBOCES and not to the benefit of the
employee.
An ESBOCES employee shall not provide confidential information to any outside source when
such information has been obtained during the employee’s course of employment with
ESBOCES.
