The tassel is worn over the right eye. The cap is worn so that it is flat on your head. If the front point comes down too far on your forehead, it can be turned under. Graduation is one of three formal ceremonies in your lifetime that have expectations regarding your attire and your behavior. The other two are your wedding and your funeral. All three of these events require that you and those in attendance act in a dignified and respectful manner. Please let your family members know that cowbells, horns, whistles or any other noise makers are not part of a formal ceremony. Also remember that even though it is your graduation day, it is also a special day for each of your classmates and their families. Your behavior on this special day should be respectful and dignified so that each class member receives the recognition they deserve. Your behavior during the ceremony should make your grandparents and parents proud of you and your accomplishments. Let’s work together to make this a memorable event for you and your family!
